Join the city of Scottsdale and local veterans organizations in the city's annual Veterans Day Commemoration held at the Civic Center Memorial Lawn, immediately northeast of Scottsdale City Hall.
Patriotic music will be performed from 10:30 until 11 a.m.; the program begins at 11 a.m.
The event will feature remarks from local leaders, a keynote address from Air Force veteran Mario Valencia, and a moment of remembrance. Mario will share his story of resilience and recovery as a survivor of the 1995 attack on the Khobar Towers barracks in Saudi Arabia.
The event is free but registration is requested for planning purposes.
