A FREE, 8-week class about Hollywood comedy, presented by Tom Samp. Beginning with a survey of early film comedy and a Harold Lloyd feature, we will watch and discuss seven hilarious classics of the sound era, featuring works by Billy Wilder, Neil Simon, Mel Brooks, Gene Kelly, Jack Lemmon, Christopher Guest, and others. Discussions and screenings each week.

Oct. 23:  The Odd Couple (1968) Starring Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon.  Neil Simon’s Tony-Award-winning Broadway smash becomes an iconic American movie.  Fastidious Felix and Oscar the slob are the ultimate mismatched roommates. Can their friendship survive the fact that they are driving each other crazy?  Brilliantly performed by Lemmon and Matthau for maximum laughs.
